RAD 303: Radiographic Physics and Imaging Equipment I

Meeting Times: Mondays and Fridays, 10:30 – 11:30 AM (Instructor will avail themselves at both learning spaces!)
Course Description: This course is designed to acquaint the student with the basic physics of radiographic science. The topics included are the fundamentals of physics, the structure of the atom, the nature of radiation, electromagnetic radiation, electricity and magnetism. A final examination will also be provided on all material students have covered during this time.
Required Textbooks:
1) Essentials of Radiographic Physics and Imaging, 4th Edition, Johnson.
2) Selman’s The Fundamentals of Imaging Physics and Radiobiology, 10th Edition, White.
Library: An electronic journal library is available on all Northwell computers for student use.
Required Materials: Pens, pencils, notebook
