This course is designed to introduce the student to the basic radiographic exposure factors governing radiographic imaging.  The topics covered include the production and properties of the x-ray beam, the properties and function of the radiographic tube, and to begin the understanding of the radiographic terminology density (recorded exposure), contrast, detail (spatial resolution) and distortion.
